Even after God tells Nebuchadnezzar in his dream and through Daniel to repent, he boasts about "his mighty power" (Dan 4:30).

You know, we are created to be mighty and powerful. God gives us dominion (Gen 1:28). He gives us strength (Ps 18:39, Ps 28:8). But, we aren't to be found admiring the beauty of what we have done. Rather, we are to be prideful and boastful of what God has done through us(2 Cor 12:9-10)!

God does teach Nebuchadnezzar that: the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will (Dan 4:32). He probably learned it a little better then me since I never was much of a hippie.
<input id="jsProxy" He takes more of a combine approach, throwing the trash back in the field. He's separating the quick and the dead.

Also, Jesus doesn't make excuses for God or try to persuade, like I feel the urge to do. He just lays out the facts and gives people the freedom to decide for themselves. Its actually a lot more mature approach than I take.

It seems more like Jesus is trying to drive people away than bring them in.
